Perform a variety of tasks to coordinate and process PWC’s services with external and internal customers.


Creating, processing, scheduling and completing services trouble calls, preventative maintenance and projects. Dispatch technicians to service calls, maintain open issues and service call logs to closure, assist customer service, and coordinate activities of the Services Departments.

  • Receive, prioritize and schedule telephone and email requests for service and quotes including parts required.
  • Understand nature of customer issue and communicate issue to field technicians.
  • Follow-up with technicians to obtain status of service calls.
  • Follow-up with external and internal customers on the status of service calls and job walks.
  • Enter billing charges and submit service orders to Accounting for billing.
  • Service Maintenance Agreement (SMA) data entry, equipment inventory review and research.
  • Process parts requisitions for equipment repairs and for stock.
  • Provide outstanding customer service along with updates to internal and external customers.
  • Assist accounting department in preparation and researching customer orders.
  • Check and report on Customer Repair status and action items.
  • Duties include Open &Closing the office, Opening door to greet guests.
  • Assist in preparation and completion of Customer Reports.
  • Schedule Preventive Maintenance Inspections (PMI), track progress, compile and prepare PMI reports (collect and mail PMI forms) as appropriate.
  • This position is hourly non-exempt.

Job Description:

A candidate with cellular installation and integration practices is highly desired. The successful applicant will be responsible for performing all aspects of wireless technology installation and maintenance. This includes installing all types of antennas (Yagi, Bogner, Panel, OMNI, FM Bay Antennas, Microwave dishes, etc.) with associated fiber/hybrid/coax/line, mounts and hardware. Performing of sitewalks and assessments, quoting and sourcing, sweeping lines to customer specifications, installation of tower lights (beacon/strobe), site grounding, plumb and tensioning, troubleshoot and resolve tower maintenance/emergency issues, conduct tower audits and mapping.

  • Proficient in all principles of rigging and knot tying.

  • Competent in the operation and proper use of Winches, Capstan Hoist and JLG. Crane Operator Certified.
  • Anritsu Certified.
  • Connector certifications (Andrew, CommScope, Eupen, PPC).
  • Must have a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; “Class A” CDL required.
  • Attention to detail in site completion forms, close-outs, photo logs and weekly paperwork.
  • Computer skills mandatory.
  • Willingness to travel extensively, nationally and internationally; passport required (lodging and per diem expenses paid by company).

Tower Technician / Installer

Job Summary: As an integral member of a crew, the Tower Technician / Installer will be responsible for the installation of radio, cellular, and microwave installations. Assigned tasks may include installation on rooftops, existing towers; tower reinforcement; antenna installation and testing; equipment inspections; microwave dish path alignment; waveguide testing and troubleshooting. This position requires the ability to work in a fast paced, changing environment and maintain a high level of professionalism, courtesy, customer service and ethics.

Pacific Wireless Communications has immediate full-time positions for experienced Tower Technician / Installers. Applicants must have experience in installing microwave and LTE antenna systems on elevated antenna structures. Installers must follow safety rules and utilize 100% tie off techniques at all times. Possess basic hand tools for type of work being performed.

Job Description:

  • Work on tower structures, looking after all aspects of work while on the tower structures, ensuring that a quality installation has been performed, including rigging, hoisting, landing, fastening, etc.
  • Installation of equipment including masts, clamping, bracing, supports, antennas, RRUs, cabling, bolting, true-ing up, shooting proper azimuth within tolerances, reading maps and a compass, torqueing to spec, labeling, picture-taking, documentation, plumb and tilt readings with smart level, etc. Closeout requirements are an absolute must.
  • Perform wave-guide, coax, fiber, lines, and hybrid cable installation, connector installation, sweep and testing assisting, weather proofing, color-coding, labeling, etc. connect coax feedlines and jumpers per piping diagrams, and support and fasten adequately for a quality, lasting installation.
  • Do grounding, terminations, fastening, proper bolting and antioxidant use, support of leads, cadwelding as required, etc.
  • Assist on overall job on ground work as well, all tasks required to build and install a site per customer specs, maintain safe work environment, daily use and completion of company and customer forms, assisting with overall crew work, maintenance of vehicles and equipment, etc.
  • Must know how to read and understand drawings, piping diagrams, job specifications, mounting specs, testing procedures, etc. Must be able to work in a team environment on the crew and be a valued member of the team and the company

Physical Requirements:

Systems / Microwave Field Technician

Summary of Duties:

The Systems / Microwave Field Technician can perform a variety of tasks to repair, maintain, modify, install, train, and consult on communications equipment and systems in a PWC service center or at a customer site.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

A. Planning and Coordinating Activities
  • Assist in the coordination of the activities of a group of technical personnel in the installation, checkout, or modification of systems or microwave equipment
  • Determine or recommend inventory levels, part or material substitutions, acquisition of new equipment, etc.
    B. Setup Activities
  • Interpret flow diagrams, schematics, blueprints, product specifications, etc., to insure proper machine or equipment setup.
    C. Equipment Application Activities
  • Use powered hand tools such as drills, saws, air tools, spot welding equipment, etc.
  • Work with fixed gauges or other simple test equipment or visual aids (e.g., “go/no-go” lights, templates, etc.).
  • Work with adjustable measuring or test equipment (e.g., oscilloscope, curve tracer, etc.).
  • Operate keyboard equipment (e.g. typewriter, data entry equipment, computer terminal, etc.).
  • Operate or monitor electronic computing equipment, using a console to activate peripheral equipment (e.g., printer, disc drive, etc.) for a variety of applications.
  • Use diagnostic computer programs to aid in identifying malfunctions in equipment, products, or processes.
    D. Test Activities
  • Functionally test electrical properties of components, subassemblies or product using schematics, written and verbal instruction, etc.
  • Perform comprehensive analytical testing of electrical, mechanical, or computer-based systems.
  • Perform environmental tests on electronic equipment or components (e.g. testing center frequencies, bandwidths, shock, vibration, altitude, temperature, humidity, etc.).
  • Perform “on-the-air” tests of communications equipment in accordance with FCC regulations (e.g. frequency, power, output, etc.).
    E. Troubleshooting and Repair Activities
  • Perform initial or preventive maintenance and adjustments on assembly, process or test equipment to insure proper operation.
  • Identify, diagnose, and repair malfunctions in automated electronic systems (e.g. computerized or other logic-controlled systems, electromechanical equipment, etc.).
  • Diagnose, repair, and maintain communication systems, microwave systems, equipment, parts, and accessories at customer locations or PWC service centers.
    F. Fabrication and Modification Activities
  • Make modifications to electronic circuitry involving changes recommended by the manufacturer, engineering personnel or the customer.
  • Assemble and install communication systems, equipment, parts, and accessories at Motorola service centers or customer locations.
    G. Artwork and Design Activities
  • Produce detail drawings, diagrams, or schematics or subassemblies, assemblies, circuitry, or systems working within established guidelines and standards (e.g. sketches, models, layouts, specifications, verbal instructions, etc.).
  • Prepare block diagrams showing the general electronic or electrical relationships between groups, units, or functions within a system, equipment, or unit.
  • Design circuits (e.g. control circuits, test instrumentation circuits, etc.).
    H. Methods Improvement Activities
  • Keep current on new equipment, processes or products in areas of responsibility through reading technical publications and related literature.
    I. Written Documentation Activities
  • Prepare routine reports or simple memos (e.g. equipment histories, material usage, inventory reports, project statistics, time utilization, etc.).
  • Post or log data (e.g. test information, recording time, work status, equipment utilization etc.) onto appropriate records, graphs, forms, computer code sheets, etc.
  • Apply elementary geometry, general science formulas and/or electrical, mechanical or chemical principles.
  • Conduct physical inventory of test equipment, supplies, etc.
  • Decide on and gather data necessary for analyzing malfunctions and determining recommended course of action.
    J. Communication Activities
  • Meet with other employees, supervisors, technicians, engineers, quality control, etc. to discuss operations, equipment malfunctions, schedules, or other problems.
  • Explain technical information to non-technical people (production employees, customers, suppliers, buyers, etc.) regarding equipment operation, company products, basic principles, theories, etc.
