King Kamehameha Day Parade
The King Kamehameha Celebration Floral Parade is the longest continuously running parade in the United States and it's approximately 500 participants and 25,000 spectators were treated to a really unique Hawaiian tradition in this parade.
Mahalo PWC for providing the radios for this year's 2010 King Kamehameha Celebration Floral Parade. This being our 94th annual and sporting a new route posed some unique challenges for us - communication being one of them. Having the units provided by PWC sure made our job easier and lessened the anxiety everyone was feeling about this big route change. Having the long range units also provided the ability for our security crew at the end of the parade to monitor where the parade was at all times and be prepared for anything.”

7 Lives Saved with Automated External Defibrillators Life Saving Installs
PWC and AED Institute designed a life-saving program for the State of Hawaii Department of Transportation-Airports Division back in December 2006. When we started the installation and implementation of the Public Access to Defibrillation (PAD) Program in the state-run airports, we were aware that these programs had been implemented in other airports but never in Hawaii. The international airports across the country all have PAD Programs which have saved lives but we did not know when, where, or how many lives would be saved in Hawaii. Now 2 years into the program, 5 lives have been saved and thousands educated to the life-saving potential of Automated External Defibrillators (AED). With the help and guidance from PWC, our program is a success. I could not have accomplished this life-saving program without PWC’s expert assistance, management, and dedicated staff. Thank you to everyone at PWC
Said Pam Foster, RN and President and CEO of AED Institute of America, Inc. and Program Director for Operation Stay’NAlive, State of Hawaii DOT-A’s PAD Program
According to the Department of Business and Economic Development, “7.4 million visitors come through the State of Hawaii annually.” PWC installed sixty of the devices at the Honolulu International Airport, ten (10) at the Kahalui Airport and Kona Airport, nine (9) at Hilo Airport, six (6) at Lihue Airport, and one at each of the airports in Kapalua, Lanai, Molokai, Kalaeloa, and Dillingham.
The reason I chose PWC over the others was greatly influenced by their responsiveness to provide timely information, technical drawings, and assistance in facilitating the permitting process with the State Harbors to get this project going.
